Sup, Im Justin AKA liljust. I have been doin' somethinkin' and I have decided to pick up snare drumming. I dont want a full drumset or ne thing, only a snare drum. I was wondering if you fellow members of Drum-Talk can help me out with information on the snare drum. Such as what is a good one to buy for a beginner, and other things to invest in. I am pretty sure I will be getting lessons. But I would like to know what a good way to learn on my own is be4 i start my lessons. Pretty much Im just asking for information on Snare Drumming, Please help as much as you can!

This is probably to late, but I'd go with the Ludwig Supraphonic Snare.

If you're only going to play snare drum, you'll probably be playing in concert and marching band at school, right?
