I prefer The Beatles. Roots of modern pop and rock music. If not for them, LZ may not have existed. I kinda remember Robert Plant saying his lyrical influence came from the later days of The Beatles around Revolver, SGT Pepper, Magical Mystery Tour.

Beatles all the way. Never really cared much for Zep. They r WAAAAAAYYYYY overplayed. But they do have a few songs that I do like

I think that their styles are so different that they are harder to compare. I would say that Led Zepplin rocks harder and the Beatles are more for getting high and listening to on a boring weekend :D

Beattles vs Led Zep.
Comparing drummers, John Bonham has it hands down. I play alot of Zep and am forever hearing little ghost foot work that is so cool.
