Most of the drum companies make good stuff and cheap stuff... within reason, you get what you pay for. I'm not overly familiar with either brand, but I would buy Mapex for myself before DDrum just because I've had some positive experience with their company and products. I would note that the advirtisements for DDrum have shown increasingly better-looking drums though.

I'd choose Mapex beacause the place I take drum lessons has 2 Mapex sets (one for the student and one for the teacher) and their sets sound and are built pretty good.

I own a set of Mapex and I love them..the heads on them are over a year old bc I dont have the money at the moment to buy new ones but I still can get a good sound out of them even with the old heads, however iv'e never played a DDrum set so idk if they are quality or not but you can't go wrong with Mapex in my opinion.

SAVE a Drum BANG a Drummer.

not a fan of DDrum at all. Mapex has some good stuff, their hardware is a little bulky in my opinion, but much better drums than Ddrum
