So im new too drumming and have no idea what kind of set i should get ive been researching and found 2 i like only problem is theyre totally different one of them has 2 mounted toms and 1 floor tom while the other has 2 floor toms and only 1 mounted tom, in your opinion which one is better and why? I would be playing blink 182 songs cuz they sound awsome

I'd choose the two mounted tom set because you are a beginner drummer so it's easier to reach the second mounted tom.

So, I really wanted to start this post with, "Step 1: Stop listening to Blink 182..." but that would be TOO harsh, quite rude and rather pretentious.

I would, however, disagree that being a beginner doesn't necessarily mean you should have two mounted toms (over the bass drum). You see, if you have two mounted toms, you must move your ride cymbal farther to the right and that can be uncomfortable at times. If you like Travis Barker so much, just buy a 4-piece kit since that's what he plays.

I actually have my ride hanging over my second mounted tom a little, and it doesn't get in the way at all.
